BREAKING: (St. Louis) Three activists disrupt the Far-Right conference "Phillis Schlafly's Gateway Eagle Council" during a talk by Gregory Wrightstone titled "Inconvenient Facts: How rising temperatures and increasing CO2 are benefiting the Earth and Humanity”.The activists "mic-checked" the speaker and interrupted with, "From Puerto Rico, to North Carolina, to Louisiana, you have the blood of climate refugees on your hands, for perpetuating the lie that creates the apathy to deal with the climate crisis." The activists then continued to chant "When scientists lie, people die!" and "Climate Change is killing us!" as they were heckled by participants and escorted out by the police. Temat konferencji brzmiał “Niewygodne fakty: jak rosnące temperatury oraz zwiększający się poziom CO2 w powietrzu są korzystne dla Ziemi i ludzkości”
Aktywistki/ści przerwali przemowę osoby prowadzącej spotkanie skandując “Od Puerto Rico, do Północnej Karoliny, przez Luizjane, macie krew uchodźców klimatycznych na swoich dłoniach, poprzez utrwalanie kłamstwa, które tworzy apatie, by poradzić sobie jakoś z kryzysem klimatycznym”. Następnie skandowano “Kiedy naukowcy kłamią, ludzie umierają!” oraz “Zmiany klimatu nas zabijają!” – skandowały/li tak do momentu aż zostali/ły wyprowadzeni przez policję.
Nikt nie został aresztowany, wszyscy/tkie aktywistki/ści są bezpieczni.
